Screenings of Classic Romantic Comedies at Rowton Castle
Join us this summer, for a not to be missed open-air showing of a classic romantic comedy. On Saturday 6th September we’ve screenings of two of the greats… When Harry Met Sally (15) and Notting Hill (15).
The cinema screen itself will be nestled in the picturesque grounds here at Rowton Castle. Surrounded by rolling Shropshire hills, a towering avenue of trees and the fragrant and abundant blooms of the formal gardens; you will find no better setting for outdoor cinema than this.
With delicious wood-fired pizza and drinks from our well stocked bar available too, come, and be part of a a feel-good afternoon (or evening) like no other.

Outdoor Cinema
At our Castle Venue in Shrewsbury
With doors opening 90 minutes before the films begin, arrive early to find your spot*. We’ll have music playing, pizza cooking and the bar stocked with drinks and cinema snacks for you to enjoy.
Gather your friends for a joyful afternoon (or evening) in the most glorious of settings.
Bedrooms are available for those wishing to extend their stay!
*Please bring your own picnic blanket, unless your ticket has been purchased with a seat.
What to Expect
From the Event
The screen itself will be located in the castle garden with outdoor bar and kitchen open (all food & drink must be purchased from Rowton Castle).
Toilet facilities will be available in the castle itself.
Booking is essential, for this adult only event.
Whilst we reserve the right to reschedule in instances of poor weather (and we will inform you with plenty of notice), it is recommended that you dress in-line with the weather on the day and bring an extra blanket to stay warm.
