Some winter weddings just stay with you, and Jade and Gus’s day was one of them. Right from the start there was this easy, relaxed feeling — nothing rushed, nothing forced, just two people enjoying their day surrounded by the people who matter most.
With the whole castle to themselves, everyone settled in quickly. Guests drifted between rooms, chatting and laughing, while Jade and Gus took everything in at their own pace. Soft winter light moved through the spaces, candles flickered as the ceremony drew closer, and the whole place felt warm and inviting despite the cold outside.
By the time evening arrived, the atmosphere had shifted into full celebration mode. Music, laughter, clinking glasses — the castle felt alive. It was one of those days where every part flowed naturally into the next, and you could feel how much the two of them were enjoying every minute of it.

A Calm and Excited Morning
The morning began quietly, with preparations taking place throughout the castle. Jade spent the early hours getting ready in one of the bridal suites, enjoying those last peaceful moments before the ceremony. Her gown from Dotty Bridal was effortlessly elegant, paired with accessories from Allure Bridals and beautifully finished by make-up artist Sophie Bruno, whose styling perfectly suited the soft winter feel of the day.
Elsewhere, Gus prepared with family and friends, wearing a tailored suit from House of Cavani. As the morning went on, a gentle sense of excitement built — shared smiles in the hallways, final touches being added, and that familiar anticipation that comes before everyone comes together.
Just outside the bridal suite, there’s a little stone pathway that turned out to be the perfect spot for a few portraits. It gave Jade a moment to breathe, reset and take everything in before heading over to the ceremony room. Nothing staged or overthought — just a quiet pause in the middle of the excitement, and it suited her beautifully.

An Intimate and Emotional Ceremony
The ceremony took place inside the castle, where candlelight and natural winter light created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Jade and Gus exchanged vows filled with laughter, emotion and quiet glances that said everything.
The intimacy of the room brought everyone close, creating a sense of connection that could be felt throughout the space. It was one of those ceremonies where time seemed to slow, allowing everyone to be fully present in the moment.
Thoughtful Details and Creative Touches
After the ceremony, guests gathered throughout the castle to mingle, relax and celebrate together. Flowers by The Floral Hire added softness and seasonal colour to the spaces, complementing the character of the interiors without overpowering them.
One of the day’s most talked-about details was the live wedding painting by Carl Millward. As the ceremony unfolded, guests watched the scene slowly appear on canvas. Throughout the day, people returned to see its progress, and it quickly became a focal point — a beautiful, creative way to preserve the moment and a keepsake that will always bring Jade and Gus back to their day.
The wedding cake, created by That Little Cake Place, was both elegant and delicious, fitting seamlessly into the relaxed and joyful feel of the celebration.

Winter Moments Around the Grounds
Even in winter, the grounds had a calm, almost still quality to them. The red?brick towers, long driveway and sheltered archways all softened in the cooler light, giving Jade and Gus a few quiet corners to slip away to. They took a little time to wander together, catching their breath between the celebrations. Those small pauses — the ones that aren’t planned or posed — often end up being the moments couples remember most.
A Lively Evening Celebration
Once the evening arrived, everything shifted up a gear. The castle felt warm and inviting, with guests filling the rooms, chatting, laughing and drifting towards the dancefloor. Little Gem FX Ltd handled the evening setup — the DJ, LED dance floor, lit?up letters and selfie mirror — and it kept the energy high right through the night.
To finish the day, everyone headed outside for a sparkler exit in the courtyard. Surrounded by friends, warm lights and that crisp winter air, it was a fun, bright way to wrap up the celebrations.

A Winter Wedding to Remember
Jade and Gus’s day had this lovely, genuine warmth running through it from the very beginning. Nothing felt staged or hurried — it was the kind of wedding where people actually relaxed, settled in and enjoyed themselves. Every part of the day unfolded in its own time, and you could feel everyone leaning into it.
There was laughter drifting through the rooms, little moments happening everywhere, and that easy kind of happiness you can’t force. It wasn’t a day built around big performances — it was built around people being fully present, and that’s what made it so special.
