The Real Wedding of Abii & Owen

Some love stories just feel like they belong in a fairy tale – and honestly, this is one of them. From a chance seaside meeting to a Disney-style proposal, everything about this couple’s journey led perfectly to their big day at Rowton Castle.

We absolutely loved being part of Abi & Owen’s wedding. From the story of how they met, to the proposal, and the soft, romantic feel of their day, it was one of those celebrations that stays with you – and we think you’ll feel that too.

A SEASIDE START

Owen and Abii first met back in 2019 on a warm Tuesday afternoon by the beach, thanks to a few mutual friends. What started as a chilled hangout quickly turned into something much more. From that day on, they were pretty much inseparable.

A Proper Fairytale Proposal

Things got even more magical on a trip to Disney World – one of their favourite places. Right in front of the iconic castle, with sunshine and music in the background, Owen got down on one knee. Time basically stopped… and of course, Abii said yes.

Finding The Venue

When it came to choosing where to get married, they wanted somewhere that felt personal but still had that wow factor… beautiful surroundings, a warm vibe, and a mix of modern style with classic charm.

The moment they walked into Rowton Castle, they just knew. The grounds, the interiors, the views – it all clicked, and we couldn’t have been happier for them. And when they found out about a last-minute wedding package that fit perfectly with their plan to get married within a year, that sealed it. They booked their date on the spot.

Stress-Free Planning (Yes, Really!)

Wedding planning can be a lot, but they said the team here at Rowton Castle made everything feel easy. From day one, they felt genuinely looked after. Every question was answered, nothing felt like too much trouble, and they were supported the whole way through.

By the time they arrived the night before, everything was already taken care of, which meant they could just relax and enjoy it all.

Effortless Wedding Style

Abii went for a romantic A-line gown by Wtoo by Watters. It featured a plunging neckline, delicate beading, soft sleeves, and beautiful little details. She paired it with satin shoes with pearl accents and simple pearl jewellery – a look that was classic and elegant without overdoing it.

Owen looked just as good in a beige three-piece suit with navy touches, while his groomsmen matched the vibe. Personalised cufflinks and brown shoes tied everything together.

Light, Dreamy Wedding Vibes

Since the castle already looked incredible, they didn’t want to overdecorate. Instead, they kept things light and romantic with soft pastel tones.

A floral moongate and “Happily Ever After” sign set the scene for the ceremony, while guests were greeted with a really fun touch – a wedding newspaper at their seats. For the reception, smaller moongates were used as centrepieces, and a “Generations of Love” display added a personal, meaningful element.

It was exactly how Abii had always imagined it; soft, dreamy, and full of emotion. Seeing it all come together (especially with her bridesmaids in matching pastel dresses) was a moment she’ll never forget.

Stunning Florals

The flowers were a big highlight. Beautifully designed bouquets, bridesmaid arrangements, and buttonholes that added a soft, romantic feel to the whole day. Even better, they lasted for weeks afterward as a lovely reminder.

A Menu Everyone Loved

The food definitely didn’t disappoint. Guests enjoyed baked rosemary and garlic mini brie in crusty bread to start, followed by free-range chicken with parmentier potatoes and seasonal greens.

Dessert was a chocolate brownie with Baileys sauce and vanilla ice cream – always a win. Later on, there was a simple but delicious vanilla cake with raspberry jam and buttercream, plus cupcakes for everyone to grab whenever they fancied something sweet.

Capturing Every Moment

With a photographer, videographer, and content creator all there, not a single moment was missed. From the big highlights to the little in-between bits, everything was captured so they can relive it again and again.

The Morning Of

Staying at the Tower House the night before made such a difference to Abii and her bridesmaids. The morning itself was full of excitement, laughter, and a bit of happy chaos, with breakfast arriving while everyone got ready together. Any nerves disappeared pretty quickly..

The Best Day Ever

For them, the whole day felt surreal, in the best way. One moment that really stood out was stepping away during couple photos and just taking it all in. Seeing all their favourite people together, laughing and celebrating, they looked at each other and said, “We did it. This is our wedding day.”

As they put it… “the whole day felt like a dream – so incredibly special from start to finish. We were fully present, soaking in every moment, surrounded by our closest family and friends in the most incredible setting.”

Their Advice?

If they could tell other couples one thing, it would be: take it all in. The day goes by so fast, so don’t stress over the small stuff. Trust your suppliers, spend some quiet time together, and just enjoy every second.

And one big recommendation? Get a videographer. The moments you don’t see, the atmosphere, the laughter. It’s something you’ll be so glad you captured.
